Hundreds of people joined us at the Christchurch Priory for our annual Carol Service on 5th December.

With performances from our Ambassador Sophia Grech, an internationally renowned Opera Singer, the Funky Little Choir Company and students from our Lifeskills College, as well as biblical readings, it was a feel good festive evening.

The event raised a fantastic £1,361.01 with donations from those that attended and generous sponsorship. This has been doubled by Basepoint Business Centre in Bournemouth as part of it’s pledge to donate £10,000 to help to fund our Information and Advice Service in 2017/18.
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Basepoint as well as event sponsors William Thompson Solicitors LLP and Abbey Life, Sophia Grech, The Christchurch Priory and Reverend Richard Partridge, The Mayor and Mayoress of Christchurch, Sandie Elkins and the Funky Little Choir Company and Tesco’s Ferndown, Sainsbury’s Christchurch, and local Cooperative stores for the mince pies and mulled wine.

Karl Fuller of Basepoint Business Centre in Bournemouth said; “We are delighted to provide a festive boost to the money raised at the Carol Service! We know the work that Autism Wessex does with its Information and Advice Service is life changing for local people and are pleased to be able to support it by donating £10,000 over the year.”

Basepoint, who provide a wide range of high quality workspaces to let across the UK, runs a charitable scheme whereby each local centre nominates a chosen charity to partner with. The nominated charities undertake a variety of local fundraising activities and money raised from these events is then matched by the ACT Foundation.

Autism Wessex is registered in England & Wales under charity number 1000792 at Charity Hub, Portfield School, Parley Lane, Christchurch, BH23 6BP. We use cookies to improve your experience using this website.
