This week is Trustees’ Week, an annual celebration of the work this huge body of volunteers undertakes for charities.  

Richard Davis, our Finance Director, has completed a gruelling challenge to raise money for us. Richard ran 100 miles in 24 hours at Endure24 near Reading on 9th and 10th June, as part of our 50th Birthday celebrations. 

To mark our 50th anniversary our Drop-in Group members have shared thoughts on what Drop-in Group and our Information & Advice service mean to them!

Our Drop in Groups for adults with autism in Bournemouth and Dorchester held special breakfast events last week in support of our Big Brekkie campaign. Those that came along also shared their thoughts and experiences of having autism and being supported by our services, to celebrate our 50th Birthday.

Our ambassador, Sophia Grech has forged a career as an Opera singer to international acclaim, performing in front of Royalty and Presidents. 

Haskins Garden Centre in Ferndown has chosen us as its charity partner for 2018. We will benefit from the support of the centre’s staff and customers in our milestone 50th Birthday year.

There are so many reasons to sign up for a Big Brekkie!

We have an even bigger reason to celebrate our annual Big Brekkie campaign! Every April, we ask supporters to host a fundraising breakfast to highlight World Autism Awareness Day and this year it's also our 50th birthday!

Hundreds of runners joined us on 6th January at our annual 10km and fun run at the Somerley Estate in Ringwood, marking the start of the charity’s 50th Birthday year. 

You may have heard already, we are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year! Over the year you can celebrate with us!

Did you know you can raise money for us when you sell on ebay? 

Thank you to all the customers from Co-op Dorchester, Co-op Funeralcare Dorchester and Co-op Crossways Food for donating to us in the Local Community Fund. We have received over £2,000 to help us fund our Dorchester Drop-In Group.

Hundreds of people joined us at the Christchurch Priory for our annual Carol Service on 5th December. 

Kai, one of the pupils at Portfield School, has received a donation for a piece of art he created as part of a World War 1 topic.

We are hosting our annual 10km and fun run at the Somerley Estate in Ringwood on Saturday 6th January, kick starting our 50th Birthday celebrations!

Basepoint Business Centre has raised an impressive £812 by hosting a Big Brekkie at its centre in Bournemouth. 

Basepoint Business Centre in Bournemouth has doubled the total raised by teams at our recent Big Kids Sports Day.

Stagecoach Group has celebrated its 20th anniversary running South West Trains by donating a generous £10,000 to fund our Information and Advice service. We were one of four charities adopted by South West Trains in 2016 as part of its 20 for 20 campaign.

Big thank you to Waitrose in Winton and to all your customers for donating your green tokens to us in the Community Matters Scheme!

Basepoint in Bournemouth has given marathon runner Richard Taylor a boost by matching every penny he has raised for us. The generous donation is part of a pledge to donate £10,000 in match funding to our Information and Advice Service in 2017/18.

We are delighted to announce that our Big Brekkie campaign to mark World Autism Awareness Day has raised over £6400 for our Information and Advice Service.
