People with autism experience differences in the way their senses process information and the world around them.  Sean Farrow, Occupational Therapist and Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner for Autism Wessex will be giving you an invaluable insight into this aspect of autism together with strategies that will help you and your child.

Our speaker will use a mixture of activities, talking, videos and resources.  The last hour of the session will be a Q & A along with time to talk with other participants.

This session is free for parents and carers of children with autism although donations on the day towards our costs are welcome.

Session: Supporting Sensory Processing

Time & Date: Saturday 11th August 2018, 10.00am - 1.00pm

Location: Dorset Youth Assosication, Lubbecke Way, Dorchester, DT1 1QL

What do I need to bring: Presentations will be emailed to all participants after the event.  You may wish to bring something along to make your own notes.

Could you help?

We are looking for volunteers to assist us at our sessions with setting up, putting away, meeting and greeting etc.  We also welcome interest from people with autism, siblings, parents and carers who might like to speak at our events.   We are happy to discuss the different roles and the level of commitment required.  To register your interest, please contact Karen or Lizzie on 01305 213135 or email [email protected]
