We are raising money for our ‘Bouncing Back’ project, which will fund the purchase and installation of two in-ground trampolines at Portfield School, benefiting the students in our early years and Key Stage 1 age groups.
Thank you to The Percy Bilton Charity for their contribution, and to Sports England for their pledged contribution.
The commercial-grade trampolines we purchase are highly durable, allowing for multiple people bouncing, such as an accompanying support worker, family member or friend, and will be used for both curriculum and extra-curriculum activities. This also offers the perfect opportunity for the students to learn social skills and develop their social interaction with peers.
By supporting this project, you’ll be helping our children to bounce back in the current Covid-climate. Trampolining can aid the development, improvement and maintenance of motor skills, physical co-ordination and impulse control. Sadly, our old trampolines were domestic, not fit for purpose and quickly broke from overuse.
