Our free Autism Advice Service provides accurate, up-to-date, impartial and accessible information and advice; to people with autism, family members and carers.  You can also view our online resources about autism.

The service offers advice and signposting about: 

  • Understanding Autism  
  • Diagnosis – the process for children and adults
  • Health and well-being
  • Coping and support strategies to help with daily living, skills development and managing behaviour
  • Education and learning
  • Disability benefits
  • Employment
  • Statutory services
  • Local support and services

We provide information and advice by telephone and email.

Our current advice services will close on 31 July 2019

We are reconfiguring our offer and our new service will commence from 1 September 2019.

All emails received after 31 July 2019 will not be actioned until the new service begins in September.

You can contact the National Autistic Society at www.autism.org.uk or speak to your GP for advice in the meantime.
