Our free Autism Advice Service provides accurate, up-to-date, impartial and accessible information and advice; to people with autism, family members, carers and professionals.  

We can advise you on, and research topics relating to autism, or put you in touch with services that may be able to help you further.   

The service offers information and advice about:

  • Diagnosis – the process for children and adults
  • Health and well-being
  • Coping and support strategies to help with daily living, skills development and managing behaviour
  • Education and learning
  • Disability benefits
  • Employment
  • Statutory services
  • Local support and services
  • Groups and activities

We provide information and advice by telephone, email and post.

The Autism Advice Line is open Monday – Thursday 10am – 4pm. Outside of these times you can leave a message on our answerphone or email us. We endeavour to make an initial response to all enquiries and messages within 7 working days.
