The Umbrella Group is a parent led support group, for parents of children and young adults with ASD. 

The Umbrella Group aims to cover a wide spectrum of behaviours which all come under the same umbrella of autism. The group normally meet once a month, but during school holidays, meetings may not take place or are rescheduled and so please check first with Debbie (contact details below)

Venue  The Pool room at Portfield School, Parley Lane, Hurn, Christchurch BH23 6BP              
On         4th Saturday of the month (Occasionally changes due to school holidays)
Time     10-12 am

Employment for students with additional needs with Donna Morgans, Supported Employment Services Manager 

Even though Donna is based in Berkshire, her experience and knowledge may help those with additional needs seeking employment in Dorset and elsewhere.

‘I have been working in Wokingham for the last 17 years as the Supported Employment Service Manager. I previously worked in the private sector at Director Level, and even after 17 years my motivation and drive hasn’t faulted in my pursuit of sourcing opportunities for as many people as possible.  We work with SEN schools, residential, Post16 (0 – 25 services) Colleges
and local employers to secure pathways into the world of work’.
