The Umbrella Group is a parent led support group for parents of children and young adults with ASD.

The Umbrella Group aims to cover a wide spectrum of behaviours which all come under the same umbrella of autism. The group normally meet once a month, but during school holidays, meetings may not take place or are rescheduled and so please check first with Debbie (contact details below)

Venue  The Pool room at Portfield School, Parley Lane, Hurn, Christchurch BH23 6BP              
On         4th Saturday of the month (Occasionally changes due to school holidays)
Time     10-12 am

24th November 2018: ‘The Myths of Autism and my story’ - Calvin Glen

Teenagers and young adults with ASD are also invited along with parents to this session, if it is thought to be appropriate. Calvin has Asperger syndrome and has acted as a young speaker on behalf of Mind and has worked with young people. His discussions tend to be about school, peers and how he has coped, as well as dispelling myths about autism.
