We’re delighted to announce that Malcolm Farrell has been appointed to the position of Chair of our Board of Trustees and Martin James to Vice Chair.

Malcolm takes over from Mary Claire Boyd, who has been our Chair since 2005. Mary Claire, together with Joan Dampney (Trustee Governor of Portfield School), Chris Page (Trustee and longstanding supporter) and Paul McGee, have each announced their retirement as Trustees after many years loyal service, having completed their tenure with us.

Siún Cranny, our CEO said; “We’d like to thank Mary Claire, Joan, Chris and Paul for their hard work, dedication and contribution over many years. Each of them has selflessly volunteered their time and expertise providing a combined 69 years of stewardship to help make our charity what it is today.”
“We look forward to welcoming Malcolm and Martin to their new roles. They are both dedicated to making a difference in our communities and are fantastically well placed to help to drive the charity forward.”

Malcolm is a Local Councillor who joined us as a Trustee in 2017. Martin also joined us in 2017, having worked in HR Management for a large multinational corporation for the past 30 years.
