This year, Portfield Schools Christmas performance was 'The Greatest
Christmas', with students performing to songs from the well known film, The
Greatest Showman.

The show involved classes taking turns to audition, to become the winner of the
Xmas Factor. Auditions included students performing routines to some of the
films songs, while other students told jokes, and even sung solo or as a
duet!

Staff and students also got involved in creating a special, heart-warming version of ‘This
is Me’ ready for parents and families to learn and join in with, at the
Christmas performance.

Autism can affect the ability to communicate effectively, and so the video has been
made using sign-along to the lyrics of the song. Sign-along is a method of
communication which uses speech and signs, and is often used with people who
are non-verbal or people who have difficulty communicating clearly verbally.

Our staff and students have been busy learning the sign-along signs for the song, ready to show their amazing talents in the video.

Why not take a look, and see if you can recognise any of the stars!
