Last weekend, we were determined to finish our fundraising week on a high note – regardless of the torrential rain! On Saturday some of our pupils played a continuous game of football for six hours, while others set off on our 24-hour sponsored walk. Unexpected downpour aside, we all had such a brilliant time!

Earlier that week, our pupils also cycled laps of the school grounds until they reached a distance that’s equal to that from here to Parliament, all in aid of our latest fundraising campaign for Portfield School. By the time we reached the finished line at midday on Sunday, we’d raised £1,877, bringing the total amount we’ve raised to just over £8,600!

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone that participated, donated or simply cheered us on. An extra special thank you must go to Goadsby, Martin & Co, Tesco in Ferndown and ASDA St Paul’s in Bournemouth, who kept us well-fed and in high spirits throughout the day. Your support means the world to us, but even more so to the children that are looking forward to exploring their brand-new playground equipment.

If you haven't had chance to donate, don't worry – there's still time before construction work gets underway. We’re hoping to keep up the momentum and reach £10,000. Could you help us reach our goal? If so, please click hereto donate via our JustGiving page.
