We are delighted to announce that we were able to install a new summer house at one of our residential homes, as part of our Safe Space Cabin project.

The project was initially developed after staff at the home recognised the need to provide a secure and safe space, external to the house, for our residents to retreat to when needed.

We’re incredibly grateful to Screwfix Foundation for their generosity, and to a wonderful lady who together with her friends donated an incredible £2,500!

The cabin will offer a secure, sensory, environment for the residents to retreat to if they are becoming overwhelmed or anxious in the main home. It will also offer a quiet, undisturbed, space for the residents to have meetings with support workers, spend quality time with their loved ones in a relaxed environment, or take part in workshops to support education and life skills.

This space will make a hugely positive impact on our adults living in the home, and we are so grateful to everyone who has supported the project and made it a possibility. Thank you!
