Our first Social Hub of 2018 gave attendees the chance to enjoy a range of different sporting activities. As well as a hockey game, there was a rounders match and hurdle relay races.

Gemma Hadley, who organises our Social Hub events, said; "It was a brilliant session. Everyone got stuck in and there was some stand out talent on show. Staff member Rab McIlrath helped to inject some competitive spirit into the hockey team and Matt Eagan did a great job of umpiring Christchurch’s most nail-biting rounders match! Staff and volunteers agreed that everyone came together really well as a team and built upon their positive relationships with each other. A huge thank you to everyone that came along and helped to organise such an exhilarating and exhausting session! It’s safe to say that we burned off our Christmas dinners and had fun in the process."
All of the attendees were the proud recipients of rosettes as well as certificates of attendance and teamwork.
The Social Hub is open to young adults aged with learning difficulties. Sessions take place at Mudeford Wood Community Centre, Pipers Dr, Christchurch BH23 4TR and are £4 per person per session. Carers go free.

The next Social Hub event is an Easter Egg Hunt at 12.00pm - 2.00pm on the 11th February 2018.
