We have an even bigger reason to celebrate our annual Big Brekkie campaign! Every April, we ask supporters to host a fundraising breakfast to highlight World Autism Awareness Day and this year it's also our 50th birthday!

Big Brekkie is our annual campaign to raise awareness of autism and vital funds for our Information and Advice service, simply by eating breakfast. This year’s campaign is backed by celebrity chefs Lesley Waters and Mat Follas and is sponsored by Williams Thompson Solicitors LLP.

Emily Pike, Corporate Relations & PR Executive said; “Whether you are a business, a school, a community group or an individual, getting behind our Big Brekkie campaign this year couldn’t be easier. All you need to do is get your friends, family, or colleagues together, choose a date in April, register online and download your free fundraising materials. Your support will not only help to raise awareness and understanding of autism, but will provide vital funding for our Information and Advice service.”

Emily continued; “Our Information and Advice service is used by hundreds of adults, families and professionals for expert, unbiased advice and support, giving people somewhere to turn. Your support will enable us to continue this invaluable service for local people and help us to celebrate our 50th Birthday in style!”

Suzanne Kadziola, Practice Manager/Partner of Williams Thompson Solicitors LLP said; “We are delighted to be sponsoring Big Brekkie in such a landmark year for Autism Wessex. It couldn’t be easier to get involved - simply enjoy breakfast for a good local cause this April! We hope as many people as possible will join us in getting behind the campaign and help us to make Big Brekkie 2018 the most successful yet.”

Celebrity chefs Lesley Waters and Mat Follas have supported the campaign since 2015. Lesley Waters, TV chef personality said; “Raising awareness and understanding autism is so important and hosting your own Big Brekkie is an easy way to do just that. My Berry Pancake Stacks recipe with bacon and honey is perfect for a special breakfast but what you choose is totally up to you!”
