We are delighted to have received a ‘GOOD’ rating after an unannounced Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection at one of our 8 adult residential homes, Middle Path in Crewkerne, Somerset. This latest inspection means that all of our residential homes have a ‘GOOD’ rating.

Set in its own grounds on the outskirts of Crewkerne, Middle Path is home to up to four adults with autism. In its recent report, the CQC praised the home for being safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led, with people receiving care and support in accordance with their personal needs and preferences.
The CQC observed that our “staff were kind and knew people well” and that “people were involved in decisions about the care and support they received”. It also noted a “calm and happy atmosphere” and that “people were supported to identify and achieve their goals and aspirations”. The CQC commented that “People with learning disabilities and autism using the service can live as ordinary a life as any citizen”.

Siún Cranny, our Chief Executive Officer, said; “We are immensely proud to have been awarded this rating at Middle Path again. It is a testament to our staff who work incredibly hard to provide a happy, safe and supportive environment for our residents. We are delighted that this has been recognised by the CQC.”
